Distant calls audible.

A little while ago we began to hear the I31s at the top of Blackfish Sound.

30 January 2007, Orcalab reports:

Distant calls audible.

The I31s ( ? I33 group of yesterday) have been heading west from Robson Bight this morning. Currently, they are off the entrance to Blackney Pass.

Distant calls audible.

The I31s have been on a wide circuit today. At times they were spread out from Blackfish Sound to Johnstone Strait in interesting groupings. The last calls we heard were in Johnstone Strait.

We have heard the I31s and A5s once again this morning in Johnstone Strait.

Ans now they have joined forces. The A5s and the I31s are travelling together in Johnstone Strait.

No orcas present.

The A5s (the A51, A43s confirmed) and the I31 group headed east past Robson Bight a while ago.
